Bouquet of garden roses

This combination is appropriate for congratulating on May 9 — restrained solemnity and respect in every flower. It will also suit other significant events where classic and dignity matter. The burgundy-red palette looks equally good in a festive setting and in a calm interior.

To keep cut flowers looking their best longer, trim the stems at an acute angle and change the water in the vase every two days, rinsing the vessel. Remove leaves that end up below the water level — this way the stems won't rot.
