9. Mist as needed. Some flowers (like hydrangeas) love humid air. You can lightly mist them with a spray bottle, but don't leave droplets on the petals for long — this can cause spots.

10. Don't place the bouquet near fruit. Fruit releases ethylene, which is harmful to flowers. The same goes for smokers — smoke damages plants.
