Green Anthurium

Green anthurium is an expressive houseplant, given as a housewarming gift or as a declaration of feelings. Its dense, glossy leaves form a lush crown, while sail-like flowers rise above the greenery on slender stems. The hue of the spathes ranges from light green to deep emerald, giving the plant a fresh and natural look.

A pot with anthurium is best placed in a bright part of the room, away from drafts and direct sunlight. Soft, diffused light maintains the decorative foliage and helps the plant set new buds. In partial shade, flowering becomes more modest and the leaves may shrink, so it's better to choose a spot near an east- or west-facing window.

Water moderately when the top layer of soil dries out. The water should be soft and at room temperature; excess water is drained from the saucer to prevent root rot. Anthurium loves high humidity: it's helpful to mist the air around the plant and wipe the leaves with a damp cloth. In winter, reduce watering, keeping an eye on the soil condition.
