Heart of Roses and Candies

A heart of roses and candies is great for children and teenagers: the candies make the gift understandable and pleasant, while the flowers give it a celebratory feel. This bouquet can be given to the birthday person or presented as a New Year surprise — it looks equally good on a festive table and in a child's room.

To keep cut roses in a vase longer, trim the stems at an angle and change the water every two days, rinsing the container. Keep the arrangement away from drafts, direct sunlight, and fruit — they speed up wilting.
