Adenium obesum is a striking indoor tree with a massive, bottle-like trunk in which the plant stores moisture. From the thickened base, short branches rise with clusters of fleshy green leaves, and during the flowering period, large white or yellow flowers appear with velvety petals and a prominent center. It looks sculptural and decorative even without blooming.

It is best to place the plant on a windowsill of a south or southeast window: it needs bright light, and with insufficient lighting, the shoots stretch out and flowering does not occur. Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings—overwatering is more dangerous for the thick trunk than a short drought. In winter, reduce watering and lower the temperature to cool.

Such a tree is suitable for those who are passionate about succulents and indoor gardening, and it will also become an expressive accent in the interior of a living room or study. It is given as a housewarming gift or to celebrate the start of a plant collection.
