Pink alstroemerias

Such a gift is suitable for a grandmother — for a birthday or a family celebration. The pink color gives the arrangement a calm, bright mood, and the flowers themselves don't look too lush or dressy, remaining appropriate for a home setting. The bouquet can be placed in the living room or kitchen; it doesn't require complicated care.

To make cut alstroemerias last as long as possible in a vase, trim the stems at an angle and change the water every two days, rinsing the vessel first. Keep the bouquet away from direct sunlight and drafts — this way the petals will stay fresh longer.
