The Persian cyclamen brings a sense of tenderness and winter freshness into the home. Its heart-shaped dark green leaves with a silvery pattern are gathered into a neat rosette, and above them, on graceful stems, flowers with reflexed petals rise. In varieties with white and pink buds, they look especially touching, resembling fluttering butterflies. The young cyclamen d8 h12 and the baby d9 h15 are compact and look great on a windowsill or desk.

The plant prefers bright, indirect light without direct sunlight and cool temperatures—the best spots for it are where it is not hot from radiators. Water carefully, along the edge of the pot or via a saucer, so that water does not get on the tuber and leaves. The soil should remain slightly moist, without waterlogging. Faded flower stems and yellowed leaves are carefully removed to keep the rosette looking attractive.

The Persian cyclamen is suitable as a birthday gift or as a seasonal compliment for the winter holidays. The European type will delight anyone who appreciates compact plants with bright flowers.
