A hyacinth mix of 3 bulbs fills the home with a feeling of early spring and freshness. Dense spike-like clusters are made up of many small flowers that open from the base to the top. The leaves are narrow, strap-shaped, of a rich green shade, growing from the bulb and framing the flower stalks. In a pot d9 h25, the plant looks compact and neat, and three bulbs in one planting create a thick, voluminous head.

Place the hyacinth on a windowsill of an east- or west-facing window — there is enough light without the scorching midday sun. In a warm room, flowering passes more quickly, so a cooler spot will prolong it. Water moderately, along the edge of the pot, so that water does not get on the bulbs: the soil should remain slightly moist, without stagnant moisture in the saucer. Remove faded flower clusters, and leave the leaves until they naturally wither.

Such a hyacinth is appropriate as a spring gift for March 8 or as an addition to home decor during the Easter days.
