How are irises delivered in Georgia?

How to care for irises so they last longer in a vase?

Irises require gentle handling, but with proper care they will last more than a week in a vase. Here's what will help keep them fresh:

  1. Trim the stems. As soon as the bouquet is in your hands, make an angled cut, retreating 2–3 cm. Hold the stems under running water while cutting — this way air won't get into the capillaries. The angled cut should be renewed every two to three days.
  2. Remove the lower leaves. Once underwater, they will rot, and the water will spoil faster. But don't remove too many: leaves are needed for the flowers' nutrition.
  3. Choose the right vase. A stable container with a wide neck will suit irises, so the stems aren't compressed. Fill a stable vase with a wide neck with clean room-temperature water to about two-thirds full.
  4. Add flower food. Use a ready-made solution for cut flowers, if available, and dilute it according to the instructions on the package. If you don't have flower food — add a pinch of sugar and a couple of drops of lemon juice.
  5. Change the water. Every day or every other day, completely refresh it, rinsing the vase and stems as well. This way bacteria won't multiply in the water.
  6. Avoid drafts and sun. Direct rays and temperature changes are not to the irises' liking. Keep the vase in the shade — near fruit, irises wilt faster due to the ethylene they release.
  7. Mist. From time to time, moisten the petals and leaves with a spray bottle — this way they will stay fresh longer.
  8. Remove faded flowers. Carefully cut off individual drooping flowers so they don't sap the strength of the others.

With such care, the bouquet will last longer, and you'll have time to admire it to your heart's content.

Questions and answers

Can I place an order in advance?
Yes, for any date and time. For February 14, March 8, Nauryz, and graduations, we recommend ordering a few days in advance: popular flowers sell out faster on these dates, and the nearest delivery intervals fill up in the morning.
How long will the bouquet last?
With simple care, a week or longer. Chrysanthemums last the longest, up to two to three weeks; roses — 7–10 days, tulips and hydrangeas — about a week, peonies — 4–6 days: they open quickly. How to extend the life of your bouquet — see the care guide.
How do you ensure freshness?
The flowers are stored in a cold room at +2…+4 °C, deliveries arrive in small batches several times a week, and the bouquet is assembled only after you place your order, so it arrives fresh.
Will the bouquet be the same as in the photo?
We keep the composition, color palette, and size. But fresh flowers vary slightly from batch to batch: the shade of a rose or how open the bud is may differ. That's why we send a photo of your exact bouquet before dispatch.
What if the bouquet is not to their liking?
We send a photo before dispatch to prevent this. If something goes wrong during delivery, we will reassemble the bouquet at our own expense. Terms are on the "Returns and Replacements" page.
Do I need to water the arrangement in the box?
Yes, every two days. The flowers are in a moist floral foam: carefully pour 100–150 ml of water into it without flooding the box. More details in the "Composition in a Box" section.
