Chrysanthemums with delivery in Vienna

Chrysanthemums last longer in a vase than many other flowers — yet the first hours at home determine whether they will stay fresh for a week or two. Chrysanthemums for recipients in Vienna are arranged by our florists — and delivered at the time you choose.

How we deliver chrysanthemums in Vienna

In Vienna, a florist arranges the bouquet and also brings it to the recipient. We work only in the city you selected on the website. We photograph the finished arrangement and send you the picture — so you know in advance what the recipient will receive.

We deliver the order exactly at the time you specified when placing it. If you want to keep your identity hidden, order anonymous delivery — the recipient will not guess who sent the flowers. We include a free card with any bouquet — just write the text and we will enclose it.

If the recipient does not open the door, the courier waits fifteen minutes. Then we contact you and, with your consent, leave the flowers at the reception desk or in a nearby shop. So if you have doubts, it is better to let the recipient know about the delivery in advance.

First steps after receiving the bouquet

Chrysanthemums in Vienna arrive to you in a bouquet, and the first thing to do is unpack them. Remove the wrapping, gently take the bouquet apart so the stems do not press against each other. If the arrangement includes decorative greenery or a frame, remove anything that prevents you from placing the flowers in water.

Next — the stems. Take a sharp knife or secateurs and cut the ends of the stems at an angle, about 45 degrees. Scissors are not suitable for this: they crush the stem's vessels, and the flower draws water less well. Cut off 2–3 centimetres, even if the bouquet was just arranged — a fresh cut always works better. Cut the stem under running water or place it in the vase immediately so that air does not get inside.

Remove any leaves that end up below the water level. Leaves in water begin to rot, and bacteria greatly shorten the bouquet's life. Everything below the water level in the vase should be clean stem.

Water, vase and a place in the home

Choose a vase that gives the stems room: chrysanthemums dislike being crowded. The vase must be perfectly clean — this is essential. Wash it with soda or a mild detergent and rinse: even a thin film from a previous bouquet will shorten the life of the new one.

For the vase, use settled water at room temperature. Pour fresh water daily or every two days, and shorten the stems by a centimetre each time. This removes bacteria and exposes a fresh cut. If you add cut-flower food — follow the dosage on the package, more does not mean better.

Place matters. Chrysanthemums tolerate direct rays, draughts and radiator heat poorly. Put the vase in a bright room, but away from a window with scorching sun. Keep the vase away from apples, bananas and pears: their ripeness accelerates the wilting of chrysanthemums. Do not leave the vase near the stove or a heater.

Ways to keep the bouquet fresh longer

Check the bouquet every day. If you notice a wilted flower or a yellowed leaf — remove them immediately, they drain strength from the others. In chrysanthemums, individual petals at the edge sometimes wilt — gently remove them with your fingers.

If the stems become slippery or the water turns cloudy earlier than usual, rinse the stems under water and trim them again. Change the vase for a clean one. In hot weather, change the water twice a day: warm air in the apartment accelerates bacterial growth.

Do not spray the buds with water — on chrysanthemums this can leave spots. Better to maintain humidity in the room overall or simply change the water more often. And do not move the vase from place to place unnecessarily: flowers adapt to light and temperature, and sudden changes do them no good.

Chrysanthemums for a specific date

We deliver chrysanthemums in Vienna at an exact time, so the bouquet can be timed to a specific moment: a birthday, an anniversary, simply an evening when the person returns home. A photo of the bouquet before sending lets you see the arrangement before the recipient does. You receive the card at no extra charge and can write any words in it.

If the recipient may not be there, let us know in advance — we will call you and decide together what to do. Anonymous — when it is important that the flowers speak for themselves, without the sender's name.

Chrysanthemums are flowers that can stand for a long time. They need little: a clean cut, fresh water, a calm place without heat and draughts. Order a bouquet in Vienna, have it delivered at the right time — and let it delight the recipient for as long as possible.

Questions and answers

Can I place an order in advance?
Yes, for any date and time. For February 14, March 8, Nauryz, and graduations, we recommend ordering a few days in advance: popular flowers sell out faster on these dates, and the nearest delivery intervals fill up in the morning.
How long will the bouquet last?
With simple care, a week or longer. Chrysanthemums last the longest, up to two to three weeks; roses — 7–10 days, tulips and hydrangeas — about a week, peonies — 4–6 days: they open quickly. How to extend the life of your bouquet — see the care guide.
How do you ensure freshness?
The flowers are stored in a cold room at +2…+4 °C, deliveries arrive in small batches several times a week, and the bouquet is assembled only after you place your order, so it arrives fresh.
Will the bouquet be the same as in the photo?
We keep the composition, color palette, and size. But fresh flowers vary slightly from batch to batch: the shade of a rose or how open the bud is may differ. That's why we send a photo of your exact bouquet before dispatch.
What if the bouquet is not to their liking?
We send a photo before dispatch to prevent this. If something goes wrong during delivery, we will reassemble the bouquet at our own expense. Terms are on the "Returns and Replacements" page.
Do I need to water the arrangement in the box?
Yes, every two days. The flowers are in a moist floral foam: carefully pour 100–150 ml of water into it without flooding the box. More details in the "Composition in a Box" section.
