Pilea Cadieri d12 will appeal to those who love neat plants with expressive foliage. It is a compact bush with small oval leaves that sit densely on branching shoots and form a rounded, slightly spreading crown. The leaf surface is slightly glossy, with noticeable embossed venation, so the plant looks voluminous even without flowering. The height and pot diameter are indicated in the name: d12 means a pot with a diameter of 12 cm.

A place for Pilea Cadieri should be bright but without direct sunlight: a windowsill with diffused light or a shelf near a window will do. Water moderately when the top layer of soil dries out, trying not to overwater the soil and not leaving water in the saucer. The plant looks great on a desk, in a shelving unit, or on a windowsill in a living room.

Such a houseplant is appropriate as a gift for a housewarming or birthday for someone who is into plants. Pilea Cadieri d12 is an undemanding option for home and office if provided with soft light and regular but not frequent watering.
