Kalanchoe thyrsiflora is a plant with upright shoots and thick, fleshy leaves edged with soft crenation. The leaf blade is dissected, giving the bush an airy, slightly carved look. During flowering, small tubular flowers open at the tips of the stems, gathered in loose paniculate inflorescences; the petals are colored in delicate shades, while the bush itself keeps a compact form.

A pot with such a plant is appropriate on the windowsill of an east- or west-facing window, away from drafts and heating appliances. Kalanchoe likes bright, diffused light: on a south-facing window at noon, it should be shaded, otherwise the leaves may get sunburned. Water moderately, letting the top layer of soil dry out, and drain excess water from the saucer—stagnant moisture harms the roots. In winter, reduce watering and keep the temperature cooler so the plant can rest before the next flowering.
