Euphorbia milii gives an interior character and a touch of the exotic: its branching, thorny shoots with bright bracts look like a living sculpture. The plant forms an upright bush with ribbed stems covered in short spines, and small red or pink bract leaves appear at the tips, lasting a long time and creating a festive accent. Pot diameter is 17 cm; plant height depends on age and conditions.

It is best to place the euphorbia on a bright windowsill or in a well-lit spot away from drafts. It tolerates direct morning and evening sun well, but in the hot midday it is worth shading slightly to prevent burns on the stems. Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings: stagnant water in the pot is harmful to the roots. In winter, reduce watering and lower the temperature to cool, but not below 12–14 degrees.
