Dracaena Fragrans brings a calm, tropical character to a room. Its narrow, sword-shaped leaves form a dense crown on a sturdy trunk, and in the Lemon Lime variety they are accented with a light border. Compacta has a denser, lower crown. Such a small tree resembles a corner of the south even in an ordinary apartment.

Place the dracaena where there is plenty of diffused light: a spot near a window with light shading from the midday sun will do. The plant does not like drafts or being close to heating devices. Water moderately when the top layer of soil dries out, and drain excess water from the saucer. Wipe the leaves from time to time with a damp cloth so that dust does not settle on them.

Dracaena Fragrans is suitable as a gift for a housewarming or birthday for those who love green plants and are ready to care for them. It can become a noticeable accent in the living room or office.
