Croton d20 h70

Croton is a plant with a vivid personality: its dense, leathery leaves look as if they were painted by an artist. On a single bush, green, yellow, orange, and burgundy shades coexist, and the pattern of veins makes each leaf unlike the others. In a 20 cm pot, the plant reaches a height of 70 cm — a striking accent that immediately draws the eye in a room.

This plant needs a bright spot without direct sunlight: it is in good light that the leaves reveal their full richness of color. A windowsill of an east- or west-facing window will do, and in winter you should take care of additional light. Water croton moderately when the top layer of soil has dried out, using soft, settled water at room temperature. It is useful to periodically wipe the leaves with a damp cloth — the plant responds with a fresh appearance.

A bush with expressive foliage is appropriate as a gift for a housewarming or birthday for someone who loves green accents in the interior. It looks good in a living room or study where there is enough light and space for a large plant.
