Philodendron Scandens

probuket

Philodendron Scandens brings a touch of tropical freshness and lightness into the home. Its heart-shaped leaves with prominent veins cascade down, creating a sense of living greenery even in a small space. The Brasil variety displays yellow variegation on its leaves, while Birkin delights with creamy strokes against a dark green background. The plant comes in a pot of 12 or 14 cm in diameter and 20 to 30 cm in height, looking great on a windowsill, shelf, or in a hanging planter.

Place the philodendron in indirect light, away from direct sunlight—it can cause burns on the leaves. The plant thrives at normal room temperature and does not require high humidity, though misting will be beneficial. Water moderately when the top layer of soil dries out, avoiding waterlogging in the saucer. Loose soil with drainage will help the roots breathe.

Such a flower makes a suitable gift for a housewarming or for a colleague who is into gardening. It requires no complex care and gradually grows, adding dynamism to the interior.
