How to Keep Balloons at Home

To enjoy your balloons longer, they need gentle care.

The Dubai sun is strong, so it's best not to leave the arrangement on a windowsill or an open balcony. If it's hot outside, balloons may lose their shape faster, so avoid taking them outside for long periods.

Surfaces and sharp objects. Keep balloons away from sharp corners, plant branches, pets with claws, and smoking guests. Even a tiny scratch can cause latex to pop. Foil balloons are more durable, but they too can be punctured.

Handling helium. Helium-filled balloons float upward. Don't tie them too tightly or squeeze them — this can damage the valve. If a balloon deflates, don't try to inflate it yourself without helium — it's better to leave it as is or replace it. Helium gradually escapes, and that's normal: latex balloons hold their shape for about 12–20 hours, foil balloons last longer.

Humidity and static. In a room with high humidity, latex can crack. Also avoid rubbing against wool and synthetics — static electricity attracts dust and can spoil the look. Wipe the balloons with a soft dry cloth if they get dusty.

Don't leave balloons in a car under the sun — latex deteriorates from that. It's best to assemble the arrangement right before the event or on the day of delivery.

What to do if a balloon deflates. Don't worry: the valve may have loosened. Gently check if the tail is twisted. If it's a helium balloon, you won't be able to send it back into the sky, but you can use it as a wall decoration or in a table arrangement. Foil balloons can sometimes be patched with special tape, but that's a temporary fix.
