A bouquet of nine 'Bordeaux' chrysanthemums — a striking choice for your mom or a friend. The deep burgundy shade with a raspberry undertone gives the blooms nobility and richness, while the dense double petals create a sense of volume and softness. Each flower opens gradually, so the arrangement looks alive and changes from day to day.

Such a bouquet is appropriate for Valentine's Day or an anniversary — it speaks of feelings in a restrained yet vivid way. Chrysanthemums hold their shape, don't shed, and travel well, so even after a while the blooms keep a neat appearance. Burgundy buds look beautiful both in a solo arrangement and combined with greenery.

To make cut flowers last longer, trim the stems at an angle and change the water in the vase every two days, rinsing it and removing the lower leaves that touch the water.
