Peperomia caperata is a great choice for anyone who appreciates neat houseplants with striking foliage and doesn't want to spend a lot of time on care. Its small oval leaves are gathered in dense rosettes on short petioles, forming a compact bush. The leaf surface is slightly wrinkled with embossed veins, so the plant looks full even without blooming.

A pot of peperomia is easy to place on a windowsill with soft, diffused light or on a shelf in a room away from direct sunlight. The plant dislikes overwatering: water only after the top layer of soil has dried out, and it's best to drain any excess water from the saucer. In winter, reduce watering while keeping an eye on the leaves.

This little bush makes a fitting gift for a housewarming or birthday for someone who is into houseplants. Peperomia caperata stays decorative all year round and looks great in a small collection on a windowsill.
