According to your decision, the courier can hand the basket to the administrator or leave it at the nearest store. Caring for a fruit basket at home

You want to keep the fruit fresh as long as possible. Here are a few general tips that will help the basket stay beautiful and fresh.

Take the basket apart properly. As soon as the basket is with the recipient, carefully take out the fruit. Do not leave them in the basket for long: in a tight arrangement they spoil faster, especially if one of the fruits has started to rot. It is better to sort everything at once and remove damaged fruit — so they do not infect the rest.

Watch the temperature. Most fruits like coolness, but not cold. Ideally — a place away from radiators, direct sunlight and heating appliances. If the room is hot, the basket will last less. Some fruits, such as bananas, are better stored at room temperature — in the cold they darken.

Do not wash in advance. Rinse the fruit just before eating. If you wash everything at once and leave it, mold will appear on the skin faster. It is enough to rinse the needed amount under cool water and dry.

Separate from each other. Some fruits release ethylene, which speeds up the ripening of neighbors. If you put them in one bag, everything will quickly overripen. It is better to store fruit in different containers or at least at a distance. This is especially true for apples and pears — they are active "neighbors".

Use paper. If you want to prolong freshness, wrap each fruit in soft paper or parchment. This way they touch less and stay firm longer. Paper also absorbs excess moisture.

Check every day. Take a quick look at the basket: if you notice a soft spot or a dark spot, immediately remove such fruit. This is a simple habit that saves the rest.

Serve beautifully. Even a simple cut or fruit plate looks festive. You can add a sprig of mint or a slice of lemon — but that is optional. The main thing is that the fruit is fresh and pleases with taste.
