Echeveria is a succulent often chosen as a birthday gift or as a pleasant addition to a workspace. The rosette of leaves forms a dense bud resembling an open camellia or lotus. The leaves are fleshy, with a waxy coating that gives the plant a silvery appearance. Its height of 12 cm and pot diameter of 10 cm make it compact — such a plant easily fits on a windowsill or shelf.

Echeveria loves bright, indirect light, so it is best placed on a southeast or southwest window, shaded from direct midday sun. Water rarely, only when the soil in the pot is completely dry, about once every two weeks in summer and even less often in winter. Water should not stagnate in the rosette — this can lead to rot. The plant prefers a cool winter and tolerates the dry air of apartments well.
