Double-flowered fuchsia is a striking plant with trailing stems covered in lush blooms. Each bud resembles a tiny rose with many velvety petals that can be colored in delicate shades. The leaves are green, oval, slightly pointed at the tips, and grow densely, creating a festive cascade. This houseplant makes a memorable gift for a birthday or housewarming.

It is best to place fuchsia on an east- or west-facing windowsill, where there is plenty of bright but indirect light. Direct sunlight can cause burns on the leaves, so during hot midday hours the plant should be shaded. In warm weather, the pot can be taken out onto a balcony, protecting it from drafts and scorching sun.

Watering should be regular and abundant, especially during the flowering period. The soil should remain slightly moist, but without waterlogging in the saucer. Drying out of the root ball leads to bud drop, so it is important to monitor the condition of the soil. In winter, watering is reduced, giving the plant a rest.
