Dianthus indoor d10 h20

Indoor carnation is a neat herbaceous plant with narrow, greyish-green leaves gathered into dense clumps. The stems are thin, upright, topped with double or single flowers with a slightly ruffled petal edge. In the white-flowered variety, the blooms look especially delicate and fresh. Plant height — 20 cm, pot diameter — 10 cm; in the larger size — d12 h25.

A pot of carnations is well suited to a windowsill on an east- or west-facing window, a bright loggia, a desk, or a shelf. The plant likes bright, indirect light and cool temperatures, so it does less well in a hot room. Water moderately when the top layer of soil dries out, avoiding waterlogging in the saucer. Remove faded blooms so the clump stays decorative longer.

It makes a good gift for a housewarming or birthday for anyone who enjoys growing plants at home.
