You can't mistake a protea for anything else: it has a large flower head, dense petals, and a memorable look.
The bouquet for the recipient is arranged by a florist working in their city. Florists prepare proteas for Spain right here, shortly before delivery — they aren't shipped from afar in a box.
Once the arrangement is ready, you receive a photo of it — before the courier sets off. Before handing the order to the courier, you get a snapshot of the assembled protea. The courier brings the bouquet to the recipient's address at the chosen time. Want to surprise the recipient early in the morning or late in the evening? If the sender wants to remain unknown, choose anonymous delivery — the name will be hidden from the recipient. A free card is added to the order: send us the text, and we'll include it.
The courier waits fifteen minutes if the recipient doesn't answer the door. When there's no one to hand the bouquet to, the courier calls you, and with your consent, the protea is left at the reception desk or a nearby shop. So it's best to contact the recipient in advance.
Protea is often chosen as a "non-cliché" bouquet. Proteas are given for birthdays, anniversaries, as an apology, or simply to remind someone you're thinking of them. In Spain, proteas are delivered to both men and women — this flower doesn't divide the audience into "only for her" and "only for him." Such a bouquet speaks of character and attention to the person.
If you're struggling to choose from the section, write to us, and we'll suggest an option for your occasion. We don't invent anything extra: we just look at the 10 available options and offer what's there.
Protea is hardy, but proper care won't hurt. Here are a few tips on how to care for a protea at home.
Trim the stem. Before placing the protea in a vase, cut 2–3 centimeters at an angle so the flower can absorb water. Use a sharp knife or pruners: scissors crush the vessels in the stem.
Choose the right vase. Protea is a large flower and needs a stable vase that won't tip over from the weight of the flower head. Pour in enough water so the stem is submerged 5–7 centimeters, no more. Protea can't stand it when the stem is submerged too deeply.
Change the water. Every two days, pour out the old water and add fresh room-temperature water. At the same time, rinse the vase — film builds up on its walls, where bacteria multiply actively.
Refresh the cut. Each time you change the water, trim the stem by a centimeter. This opens fresh vessels and helps the flower drink.
Remove the excess. Take off the packaging — anything that prevents the stem from being in water.
Placement for the vase. Protea doesn't do well in direct sunlight, drafts, or near a radiator. Put the vase where it's bright but without direct sun. At night, the flower is more comfortable in coolness — if possible, take the vase out to the balcony or a cooler room.
Keep away from fruit. Next to apples and bananas, a protea will wilt faster: these fruits release ethylene. A protea won't like being next to apples or bananas.
Don't spray the flower head. Unlike many flowers, protea doesn't need spraying — water on the petals can cause spots. The main thing is to top up the water in the vase on time.
If the protea starts to dry out. This is normal: proteas often last longer dried than in water. If the flower has dried, don't throw it away — it can stand in a vase without water for a long time and look like a dried flower.
Our approach is simple: a florist in the recipient's city arranges the composition, you see a photo before dispatch, delivery arrives at the appointed time, and a card is included free of charge. If you need a special scenario, night or anonymous delivery will work. If the recipient isn't there, the courier calls you, and together you decide what to do with the bouquet.
