White Pachystachys

Pachystachys is notable for its unusual inflorescences: white bracts form neat spike-like candles, from which small flowers peek out. The leaves are oval, slightly pointed, rich green, growing densely to form a compact bush. The plant looks showy even outside of blooming thanks to its lush foliage.

Pachystachys can be placed on a windowsill of an east- or west-facing window: it suits bright, diffused light without direct rays. Water moderately when the top layer of soil dries out, avoiding waterlogging in the pot. The plant is heat-loving and dislikes drafts.

Such a flower is suitable for a home or office, and makes an appropriate gift for a housewarming or birthday.
