The yellow pachystachys is a compact shrub with bright inflorescences that resemble small candles or spikes. Its oblong, rich green leaves grow densely, creating a lush crown, and at the tips of the shoots yellow bracts open, which stay on the plant for a long time and give it a festive look. Flowering is abundant and repeats in waves with good care.

It is best to place the plant on a bright windowsill or in partial shade, where direct midday rays do not reach — they can cause burns on the leaves. Pachystachys loves warmth and does not tolerate drafts well, so the location should be protected. Water regularly, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out slightly, but do not let the root ball dry out completely. The water should be soft and settled.
