Peony-flowered tulips

Peony tulips are known for their densely double blooms that resemble open peonies. Many tight petals form a voluminous, rounded cup, while the stems and leaves keep their fresh green. In a composition of 45 flowers, the buds gather into a rich, textured cloud that looks striking both in tall glass and in a wide vase.

Such a bouquet is appropriate as a festive gift for May 9 — it resonates with solemnity and a spring mood. It also works for a personal occasion when you want to present something elegant and memorable. The dense double form makes the composition a statement in itself, needing no additional decoration.

To keep cut flowers fresh longer, trim the stems at a sharp angle and change the water in the vase every couple of days, rinsing it and refreshing the cut.
