The two-tone Christmas cactus is a plant with flat, jointed stems that curve in an arc and form a spreading bush. Buds appear along the edges of the shoots, and then flowers of two shades open: the petals combine a light base with a bright border. This coloring makes the bush showy even during the period when most houseplants are resting. The pot diameter is 9 cm, so the Christmas cactus fits compactly on a windowsill or shelf.

The potted plant is placed on an east or west window with soft, diffused light. Direct sun makes the stems turn yellow and wilt, so during hot hours it is better to shade the bush. In summer, the Christmas cactus does well on a balcony in a place protected from drafts. Keep the soil slightly moist, watering after the top layer dries out. Overwatering is harmful to the roots, so drain the water from the saucer.

It makes a suitable gift for a loved one or for your own plant collection.
