The Dwarf Cavendish banana immediately catches the eye with its large, broad leaves of rich green. They fan out from a sturdy false trunk, giving the plant a tropical look. When presented, such an indoor banana creates an impression of living exotica — as if a corner of the south has settled in the home.

It is best placed in a bright spot without direct sunlight, for example by an east- or west-facing window. The plant loves warmth and tolerates drafts poorly. Water moderately when the top layer of soil dries out, and less often in winter. It is useful to periodically wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust.

Such a gift is appropriate for a housewarming or birthday — it suits those who are into plants and want to add greenery to their interior. The Dwarf Cavendish banana grows compactly, so it will find a place even in a small room.
