Hyacinths are flowers that continue to live in a vase. To keep the bouquet pleasing to the eye longer, follow a few simple steps.

1. Trim the stems. After receiving the bouquet, cut the ends at an angle with a sharp knife — this way water will reach the flowers better. Cut the stem ends with a sharp knife, not scissors, to avoid crushing the tissues.

2. Pour water. Hyacinths like cool water. Depending on the stem height, fill the vase one-third or half full. The water should cover the cut stems but not reach the flowers themselves.

3. Change the water. Refresh the vase contents every two days. Along with changing the water, rinse the vase and shorten the stems by another two centimeters. This care will help the bouquet stay fresh longer.
