Caring for irises

Irises prefer cool conditions and plenty of water. Place the irises in cool, clean water after cutting the stems at an angle — this will keep them fresh longer. Change the water daily, and refresh the cut every two days — this way the bouquet will stay fresh longer. It is better not to place a vase with irises in a draught or under direct sunlight. When the bouquet contains other flowers, make sure the iris leaves do not end up in the water — otherwise they will wilt faster.
