Creative bento cake

This small dessert weighs 350–400 grams and is assembled as a neat mini cake. Such a portion is meant for one or two people, so the cake is easy to serve with tea or coffee. The decoration is creative, with thoughtful details that make it stand out even on a small table.

The format suits a man — for a birthday or as a pleasant surprise with no occasion. The bento is convenient to give in person: it doesn’t require much space and doesn’t look bulky. The cake should be stored in the refrigerator.
