Pink Guzmania is a striking houseplant with a dense rosette of leathery leaves, from the center of which rises a large bract in a rich pink shade. The leaves are strap-shaped, slightly pointed at the tips, and gathered into a neat funnel. The bract lasts for months, maintaining its shape and color, so the plant remains decorative for a long time. An orange bract color is also found — choose the shade to your taste.

It is best to place the Guzmania in a bright spot without direct sunlight: a windowsill with diffused light or a shelf deeper in the room will do. Water moderately, pouring water into the center of the rosette and into the soil, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out. Wipe the leaves periodically with a damp cloth, and during the heating season it is useful to mist the plant. Drafts and water stagnation in the pot are harmful.

The compact rosette and expressive bract make the Guzmania a noticeable accent on a desk, windowsill, or in a bathroom with a window. The plant is appropriate to give to a colleague, friend, or loved one — for a housewarming or birthday.
