Carnations with Delivery in Madrid

Why Carnations Are a Safe Bet

Everyone knows carnations, so they need no introduction. They are loved for their character: they are hardy, fragrant, and look noble even in the simplest bouquet. We, the Pro-Buket team, often see how recipients in Madrid smile when they are handed carnations. Choose the right bouquet from the catalog, and we will take care of all the arrangements.

In Madrid, the florist assembles the bouquet themselves and also delivers it to the recipient. The florist creates the bouquet with carnations right in Madrid and immediately hands it to the recipient, so the flowers arrive fresh and well-cared for.

How Carnation Delivery Works in Madrid

We deliver carnations exclusively within Madrid. If you select a city on the website, make sure it is Madrid. The courier brings the bouquet to the recipient's address at the chosen time. This is especially convenient when the presentation is timed to the start of a celebration, the end of the workday, or a romantic dinner.

A free card is included with the bouquet — write a few lines in it, and we will hand it to the addressee.

We recommend agreeing with the recipient in advance or specifying in the order the hour when they will definitely be there.

Caring for Carnations at Home

Even though carnations are considered very hardy, they still benefit from proper care to stay beautiful longer. Here are some tips from our florists to help keep the bouquet fresh in Madrid.

Start care by trimming the stems. At home, take a sharp knife or pruners and cut 2–3 centimeters off the stem at a 45-degree angle. To prevent air from entering the capillaries, cut the stem under running water. Fill a clean vase with settled water at room temperature and place the flowers in it. Carnations do not like cold water — it slows absorption.

Every 48 hours, change the water in the vase to fresh. Each time you change the water, trim the stems by a centimeter — this opens fresh cuts and improves nutrition. Remove the lower leaves: if they end up in the water, rotting will begin, and the bouquet will quickly lose its appearance. Also remove wilted petals and flowers so they do not infect the others.

Add a cut-flower food to the water. If you do not have flower food, you can add a little sugar with lemon juice or an aspirin tablet to the water. This creates a slightly acidic environment in which carnations last longer. The main thing is not to overdo it: too much sugar in the water will lead to bacterial growth.

Where to Place the Vase with Carnations

The location of the bouquet in the home affects its longevity no less than care. Carnations cannot tolerate direct sunlight — they fade and wilt. Therefore, choose a spot away from the window, especially if it faces south. Also protect the flowers from drafts and sudden temperature changes: do not place the vase near an air conditioner, heater, or open window.

Fruits and vegetables are bad neighbors for flowers. Next to fruits and vegetables, flowers age faster due to ethylene. Do not leave the vase with carnations near apples, bananas, or tomatoes. If there are smokers in the home, try to keep smoke away from the flowers: it clogs the pores on the petals and stems.

At night, you can move the bouquet to a cooler place — for example, a hallway or a glazed balcony, if it is not too cold there. Carnations like coolness, and such "rest" will extend their life by a few days. But make sure the temperature does not drop below +5 °C.

What Else to Know About Carnations

Carnations have their own character. If all recommendations are followed, carnations can last up to two weeks in a vase. But remember: the more often you change the water and trim the stems, the longer they will delight. Do not be lazy to spend a couple of minutes a day on the bouquet — it is worth it.

Before sending, we photograph the bouquet so you can see it before the presentation. Our florists assemble the composition shortly before sending so the flowers do not have time to wilt. The recipient will see the bouquet as it was intended.

And one more point: carnations are a universal gift. Such bouquets are given to men and women, colleagues and loved ones, for holidays and without occasion. These flowers suit any event. If you cannot decide on the shade of carnations, Pro-Buket florists will help — just write to us in the chat on the website.

Choose carnations from the Madrid catalog — we will make sure the surprise turns out exactly as you planned. Select the right bouquet from the Madrid catalog and place your order — the courier will bring it to the recipient's address at the chosen time. Remember: even the hardiest flowers need care, and we are happy to help you with the choice and delivery.

Questions and answers

Can I place an order in advance?
Yes, for any date and time. For February 14, March 8, Nauryz, and graduations, we recommend ordering a few days in advance: popular flowers sell out faster on these dates, and the nearest delivery intervals fill up in the morning.
How long will the bouquet last?
With simple care, a week or longer. Chrysanthemums last the longest, up to two to three weeks; roses — 7–10 days, tulips and hydrangeas — about a week, peonies — 4–6 days: they open quickly. How to extend the life of your bouquet — see the care guide.
How do you ensure freshness?
The flowers are stored in a cold room at +2…+4 °C, deliveries arrive in small batches several times a week, and the bouquet is assembled only after you place your order, so it arrives fresh.
Will the bouquet be the same as in the photo?
We keep the composition, color palette, and size. But fresh flowers vary slightly from batch to batch: the shade of a rose or how open the bud is may differ. That's why we send a photo of your exact bouquet before dispatch.
What if the bouquet is not to their liking?
We send a photo before dispatch to prevent this. If something goes wrong during delivery, we will reassemble the bouquet at our own expense. Terms are on the "Returns and Replacements" page.
Do I need to water the arrangement in the box?
Yes, every two days. The flowers are in a moist floral foam: carefully pour 100–150 ml of water into it without flooding the box. More details in the "Composition in a Box" section.
