Daisies need no explanation. Everyone recognizes them, and everyone welcomes them without hesitation. In our shop, daisies are valued for their natural charm: they fit a romantic gift, a token of appreciation for a colleague, or a heartfelt greeting to someone dear. Any option you like from the 41 will be carefully wrapped and delivered anywhere in Madrid.
Here’s how we work: a florist assembles the bouquet in Madrid and hands it to the recipient there.
Delivery within Madrid is our core service. A courier brings the bouquet to the recipient’s address at the chosen time. This is handy when the recipient has a tight schedule and the surprise must remain unexpected.
Daisies are known for their durability, but they still appreciate care. A few simple tips will help daisies last longer in a vase.
First, trim the stems. Use a well-sharpened knife and cut the stems at an angle—this helps water reach the flowers more efficiently. Remove the lower leaves from the stems: in water, they quickly rot and spoil the environment.
Second, choose the right water. Room temperature is better than ice-cold. Dissolve a little sugar in the water—about a teaspoon per liter: daisies will appreciate the sweetness. Change the water every two days and slightly shorten the stems—this noticeably extends the freshness of daisies.
Third, find a good spot for the vase. Fruit next to the vase is a bad idea: the ethylene they release speeds up wilting, as do drafts. The best place for the vase is a well-lit room with a stable temperature, away from radiators and heaters. At night, you can move the vase to a cool glazed balcony if the temperature there doesn’t drop below +5 °C.
Fourth, mist the flowers. A fine spray of water refreshes the petals, especially in dry air. Just avoid the centers—they can darken from excess moisture. And don’t place the bouquet under an air conditioner: a stream of cold air will quickly dry out the delicate petals.
If some flowers start to wilt, don’t rush to throw away the whole bouquet. Remove the drooping heads, trim the stems, and change the water—often the remaining daisies will last a few more days. And if you want to keep a memory of the bouquet, you can dry a few flowers: hang them upside down in a dark, dry place, and in a couple of weeks you’ll have a lovely dried flower.
