Red hyacinth is a bulbous plant with a dense, upright flower stalk topped by a cluster of rich red blooms. Each bell-shaped flower stands out thanks to the waxy texture of its petals, while narrow, strap-like leaves form a neat rosette at the base. In a pot, the hyacinth looks compact and tidy, yet the flower stalk itself remains a striking focal point.

It is best placed on a windowsill with bright, indirect light, away from drafts and heating appliances. It works well for decorating a windowsill in an apartment or a desk in an office. Water moderately, along the edge of the pot, when the top layer of soil dries out, being careful not to get water on the bulb or leaves. After flowering, gradually reduce watering.

A red hyacinth is suitable as a birthday gift or as a seasonal home decoration. Its dense flower clusters look good both on their own and in a group with other bulbous plants. The plant responds to care: with enough light and careful watering, the flower stalk keeps its shape, and the color remains deep and even.
