Spotted Haworthia

Haworthia fasciata is a compact succulent that will be appreciated by lovers of unusual houseplants and those looking for an undemanding green neighbor for a windowsill. The rosette is dense, made of fleshy pointed leaves covered with small light bumps. The color varies from rich green to olive with a slight pearlescent sheen, and the spotted pattern gives the leaves an expressive texture. Depending on the variety, the rosette shape can be wavy, boat-shaped, or chequered.

It is best to place the plant in a bright spot without direct midday rays — an east or west windowsill will do. With insufficient light, the rosette stretches out and loses its compactness. Water moderately, letting the soil dry out completely between waterings: stagnant moisture in the pot is fatal to the roots. In winter, reduce watering to once every two to three weeks.

Haworthia fasciata is suitable as a gift for a colleague for a housewarming or as an addition to a desk in the office. Kupiera d10 h12 is a neat option for a small space: pot diameter 10 cm, plant height 12 cm.
