The crested spider plant is a plant with narrow, striped leaves gathered into lush clumps. From the center of the rosette, long thin shoots grow with small baby plantlets at the ends, which is why it is often called a "spider." In a 14 cm diameter pot, it looks full and neat.

You can place the spider plant on a windowsill, shelf, or in a hanging planter—it looks equally good anywhere. The plant tolerates partial shade, but in light the leaves become brighter and larger. Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings, and reduce frequency in winter. Misting helps maintain humidity and keep the leaves clean.
