The curly ponytail palm brings a sense of calm and lightness to the interior, as if transporting you to warm lands with dry air and bright sun. Its recognizable appearance—a thickened trunk base resembling a bottle and a fountain of spreading, narrow, slightly wavy leaves that cascade beautifully—makes the plant look like a miniature tree and allows it to look equally good on a windowsill or in a spacious room.

It is best to place the ponytail palm in a bright spot with plenty of sun: south and southwest windows are suitable. Watering is infrequent but abundant, only after the soil in the pot has dried out well. Stagnant water at the roots is harmful, so excess moisture is drained from the saucer. In winter, water even less often, guided by the condition of the soil.

Such an indoor tree is appropriate as a gift for a housewarming or to celebrate the start of setting up an office. It suits those who appreciate leisurely care and expressive, structural plants.
