Yucca elephantipes is a striking indoor tree with a thick, woody trunk and a lush crown of long, stiff leaves gathered in a rosette at the top. The sword-shaped leaves are dense, with pointed tips, and colored in rich green. Over time, the plant develops the characteristic look of a false palm, becoming an expressive accent in any interior.

It is best to place the yucca in a bright spot—a south- or west-facing windowsill with bright, indirect light will do. In partial shade, growth slows, and the leaves may lose their richness.
