Stromanthe tricolor is a plant that immediately catches the eye with its bright leaf pattern. Large oval leaves are gathered into a lush rosette and colored unevenly: from deep green at the edges to creamy white and pinkish stripes closer to the center. The pattern on each leaf is unique, so the plant looks alive and ever-changing. The Triostar variety stands out for its more pronounced contrast between dark green and light variegation.

It is best to place the plant in a bright spot without direct sunlight — diffused light maintains the brightness of the pattern. A windowsill on the east or west side will work, or a spot deeper in the room with sufficient lighting. Stromanthe likes warmth and humid air, so it is uncomfortable near heating appliances.

Water regularly and moderately: the soil should stay slightly moist, but without water pooling in the pot. It tolerates drying out of the root ball poorly, as well as overwatering. Wipe the leaves from time to time with a soft damp cloth. It makes a suitable gift for a housewarming or as an addition to home decor.
