Adenium multiflorum

probuket

The desert rose (Adenium obesum) gives an interior the character of a tropical greenhouse: a thick caudex resembling a miniature baobab, and branches crowned with bright flowers. Double-flowered forms look especially lush, while Arabicum and Somalicum differ in leaf shape and shades. During the flowering period, the plant becomes a living accent that draws the eye.

Place it on a windowsill of a south or southeast window — the desert rose loves bright, indirect light and warmth. Water moderately, letting the soil dry out completely between waterings, especially in the cool season. In winter, rare moisture is enough to avoid root rot. Loose soil with good drainage will support the health of the caudex.

Such a flower will be an expressive gift for a lover of rare plants or a decoration for your own collection. It is appropriate for a housewarming or birthday when you want to present something unusual and long-lasting.
